Welcome back, Crosswinds Community!
We begin Quarter Two with new schedules, new classes and a new student government, but committed to our focus on equity and reaching each student. Every element of our school day and culture is aimed to help each student be successful in every one of their classes.
On Monday, students reviewed our school wide social contract of “Responsibility, Respect and Readiness” — the three shared elements that make up and guide students to reach their goals. The social contract poster below can be downloaded to hang up at home. We encourage you, as parents and guardians, to implement these principles at home to help reinforce this message to our students.
Each and every member of the Crosswinds Community wants to see our students succeed. Crosswinds has students from all over the East Metro who are welcomed members of our community regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age or ability. From the beginning, Crosswinds was built on diversity and equity. It is vital that we all come together as a strong and supportive community to uphold these values. We are a community that celebrates each other’s successes. A community that is more vibrant because of our differences. A community that is open and affirming of all of our members.
As members of Crosswinds, we agree to be responsible to our classmates, students, families and teachers for our actions. We show respect regardless of our station in life or our differences. All of us are prepared and ready for what comes next. We welcome all and celebrate each and every one as we enter Quarter Two. Together, we will continue with our vision to foster resilient global citizens through data driven practices, purposeful integration and innovative arts education as a model school for the state of Minnesota. Thanks for your support of our values.
